Major Responsibilities:
- Create and build out a weekly gathering for college students
- Start and multiply student-led groups that are on mission at the campus of Cincinnati
- Recruit and develop a Salt Staff that is healthy
- Take Salt students through the leadership pipeline
How will these responsibilities be accomplished?
- Communicate the vision, mission, rhythms, Salt Church core values, and opportunities for future church plants to Salt staff and students (written, media, verbal)
- Provide wisdom and discernment regarding the vision of Salt Company (especially weekly gatherings and scattered student-led groups)
- Help coordinate the annual calendar of events (MTC, Fall Retreat, Salt Conference, etc.)
- Preach regularly at Salt Company and quarterly on Sunday gatherings
- Create and develop D-Groups and monthly leadership training
- Implement a student leadership application process
- Work with Salt global and local church partnerships to create summer trips
- Maintain relationships with the Salt Network
- Weekly meet with direct report (Lead pastor)
- Hire interns and residents for salt staff (Approval from direct report)
- Fundraise for the ministry
What does a successful outcome of this position look like?
- Disciples who embody the core values of Mercy Hill Church and student leaders raising up new leaders within the ministry
- Students highly invested in the local church, on their campus, and joining future church plants
- A growing midweek gathering and multiplying groups (numerically and spiritually)
- Salt staff that works hard, but feels like family
