Are you a visionary, get it done leader that is looking for a great opportunity to join a healthy staff at an established growing church with access to a major university? If so, The Chapel Baton Rouge might be the place for you.

We are one church that meets in two locations with a unified mission to Help People Meet, Know and Follow Jesus on the campus of LSU, the city of Baton Rouge and around the world. We are looking for a relationally driven leader that has a heart to reach lost families in our city and disciple middle and high school students to follow Jesus by "living sent" with gospel.

The new youth director will be connected to our growing college ministry on the campus of LSU and will have the opportunity to recruit and develop leaders through the Refuge (soon to be Salt) college ministry.

Here's what we're looking for. If any of this excites you...then let's talk.

• Next Gen Ministry: Be a collaborative member of The Chapel’s Next Gen Ministry. The Youth Director and Kids Director will work together to shape the Next Gen Ministry in alignment with The Chapel’s mission and values. The goal is to create a strong partnership between the church and parents.

• Youth Ministry Champion: Be the Youth Ministry champion by providing leadership for the Youth Ministry at its two locations; alignment between mission, locations, curriculum, culture, youth volunteers and staff, etc.

• Recruiter/Developer: Be a recruiter and developer of leaders that will invest relationally in the lives of middle and high school youth. The position will require the leader to raise up and equip others to connect relationally with youth.

• Biblical Teacher: Be a teacher of God’s Word and a developer of others to teach and lead youth to understand and apply the Bible to their lives.

• Shepherd Leader: Be a shepherd that provides care and support to students, their families, and volunteers.

• Dreamer/Organizer: Be a dreamer/organizer by cultivating creative and relevant ideas for the Youth Ministry. To include but not limited to the overall youth program, events, retreats and trips that create community and provide an entry point for new youth to connect and moves the mission of the Chapel forward.

• Technically Skilled: Be proficient in the use of technology and other social media to reach/communicate with youth.

• Resource Minded: Be responsible for the spending and oversight of the yearly Youth Ministry budget.

• Mission Supporter: Be a supportive member of The Chapel’s Leadership Team, advocating for the church’s mission, vision and values as the representative for Chapel Youth/Next Gen Ministry.
