The Director of Groups and Marriage Ministry will support Hill City Church’s objectives through the embodiment of the mission statement: Together we love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ. This role is focused on growing, leading and supporting Gospel Community efforts at Hill City Church through City Groups and Marriage Ministry.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
SUNDAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with Group Leaders
- Help connect new people to community at Hill City Church
- Support Staff as needed
GROUPS:
- Lead our City Groups by
- Communicating a clear and compelling vision for our City Groups
- Recruiting, training, and equipping City Group Leaders
- Caring for each City Group Leader with regular check-ins
- Identifying leaders who can serve as coaches and deacons
- Overseeing the assimilation process into City Groups
- Overseeing the management of the City Groups Budget
- Partner with Hill City’s Care Team and Young Professionals Ministry
- Grow our City Groups by
- Building out training events and resources for City Group Leaders
- Creating an event for those to learn City Groups 101 before attending a City Group
- Partner with Sr Director of Groups to equip City Group Leaders with training videos and resources
MARRIAGE MINISTRY:
- Build and Grow Strategy for Healthy Marriages at Hill City (Seriously dating to Long-term marrieds)
- Premarital
- ReEngage
- Future curriculums
- Identify, train, and equip Marriage Ministry leaders
- Invest in Marriages of Hill City through strategic events, ministry opportunities, and trainings
- Drive and Accomplish yearly Marriage Conference
- Drive identifying curriculum for Marriage investment
STAFF REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend weekly staff Huddle
- Create and complete semi-annual evaluation of 6-month role plans
- Participate in trainings, organizational development, and processes required of all staff
- Adhere to all HR policies and procedures
QUALIFICATION PREFERENCES:
- 5+ years experience leading/developing adult teams in similar ministry related responsibilities
- Bachelors degree or higher (or applicable experience)
- Track record of autonomous leadership with limited oversight (collaborative creativity is welcome)
- Success in managing a budget (outside of personal finances)
- Track record in serving through the local church
- Affinity for connecting with people
- Organized, self-driver who is able to take general direction and produce results
- Experience in working with a flexible job schedule
